I feel so dumb that I could not remember how to post to my blog this week. I think that this is due because I had to take my mom for surgery and everything else is weighing very heavy on my mind and shoulders. I hope that everything starts to cool off soon so that I can catch up on everything that I need to and I will be able to keep my grades up because this is a very bad time to fall behind in any of my classes/courses. For everyone that reads this blogging post my mom is doing fine now. She had to have a nerve block done so that she will be able to use her arm and hand a little bit more (hopefully). The last time that she had this done it did not work so we are hopping that this time will be different and it will take.
This week the question talks about the peer review that we are doing this week. I think that doing peer review is a good thing because not only is the Professor going to grade your paper but this gives the other student a chance to read what you are writing about and it gives them a chance to help you polish off your paper before you write your finial project for this class/course. I like the way that everyone in this class/course can tell you what you are doing wrong without putting you down and making you think that you do not know anything at all. I think that Kaplan University should do this with all classes/courses. What better way to get a fresh pair of eyes to read your paper and see the things that you yourself might not see. For example= I have been doing my APA style the whole time that I have been in Kaplan like this = (VanDam, K., Ph.D. Tysick, N., M.A. (2008)). all t0 find out that this is the wrong way that it should be done. This is the reference to the KU Handbook but it would be the in text citation. This should look like this= VanDam, K., Ph.D., Tysick, N., M.A., 2008). I did not know that you do not put a ( ) inside of a ( ). this was very good advice and one that I will try to follow in every other paper that I have to write. (I am sure that their will be many more because I have about six more term left to go before I get my degree in Medical Transcription. What was something that you found very interesting about my paper or that you found that I did wrong? I hope that you feel free to let me know because I can not fix it unless you tell me. So please tell me everything that is wrong with my paper, what might sound better, how I can improve my paper to make it look more professional in the future. I thank you for all of your help on my final project and I hope that everyone learns something about Achromatopsia.
